One-hour English adaptation of my novel, on stage in Paris in September

A couple of years ago, a Czech theatre company, Listovani, put on a great live reading of my novel The Merde Factor. It was one actor reading Paul West's first-person narrative, and an actress reading the dialogue of all the other roles. We toured the Czech Republic twice, and it was a big success.

I've now decided to do something similar in English. I've rewritten the story so that there's more interaction between the characters, and there's now a live pianist accompanying (and sometimes interrupting) the action with musical commentaries like "Bonjour, is it moi you're looking for?" and "It's Raining Merde".

It's the story of Paul West trying to become a French civil servant, his friend Jake writing the worst poetry in the world, and various Parisiennes getting Paul into (and potentially out of) the merde.

We've put on the show twice in Paris now, testing things out, and there will be a new version on at the Théâtre de Nesle, Paris on 18 and 25 September, during the theatre's 789 Festival. See: http://www.theatredenesle.com/
